“I travelled abroad for the first time this summer to the city of Liuzhou, located in the Guangxi Providence of Southeast China. I went with four other undergraduate students and our advisor Dr. Roger Williams to conduct four research projects focused on forestry and wildlife in the forests of Guangxi. We worked closely with the professors and students from a local university, which was the best part of the trip. With our free time we would explore the city of Liuzhou and try to interact with the people that lived there. Even though I can’t speak Chinese, the people of China were always so nice and patient in trying to communicate so it wasn’t an overwhelming experience." |
